Vildosola Racing, 45th SCORE International Baja 1000 Champions

“The mexican team repeat the feat and makes history once again in Score”

La Paz, BCS, 16 November.- Once again, Vidosola Racing makes history, becoming the first mexican team that wins, for a second time, the SCORE International Baja 1000 that in this edition went all the way to La Paz, Baja California Sur, emulating the triumph of 2010.

With a time of 19 hours and 44 minutes, the team fought for the lead in the last 100 miles with american driver Bj Baldwin, who finished in second position. For this, Gustavo and Tavo Vildósola as well as Javi Valenzuela as copilot, got through 23 Trophy Trucks, since they started the race in position #24.

With the original idea of being in the 10th position at Puertecitos, the TT #21 fulfilled the race plan and was in the 10th position of the leaderboard in the first 110 miles.

From this moment on, the strategy continued, maintaining calm and driving according to course, so that the TT could be maintained in the best condition possible. Adding to that, a precise logistics commanded by Gustavo Vildósola, team owner.

It was in San Ignacio where Gustavo Vildósola would take control of the Trophy Truck and would take it to mile 785, where Tavo would continue with the vehicle and would start a battle with Bj Baldwin. With speeds of more than 120 mph, the two pilots fought for the lead on the last 100 miles towards the finish line.

This way, the mexican team Vildosola Racing won once again the Baja 1000 Peninsula Run, repeating the feat of 2010, where they became the first mexican team to win an Overall in this race. Defending the title of two years ago and maintaining a similar logistics, the pilots of the TT#21 and their team of approximately 85 people distributed strategically throughout the peninsula were able to take advantage of the resources that the race demanded, taking advantage of the great preparation the members of Vildosola Racing had, so they could do the technical details that in the end, made a huge difference.
